As hinted at the ES 2012, Tomb Raider Multiplayer for Xbox release was announced, earlier than other consoles.
The downloadable contains three maps: Scavenger caverns, Cliff Shantytown and The Burning Village.
The game originally contains five maps viz. Chasm, Monastery, Shrine, Beach and Underground. Each map has different features and is to be played with different strategies, for example, ringing the bell in Chasm starts wind, blurring the vision, Monastery contains destructible bridges and the beach contains lightning indicator.
The new set is also expected to have this kind of peculiarity in the maps. The traps and zip lines are also expected as in the earlier maps. Survivor tactics can also be guessed to follow the previous maps’ pattern.
After receiving negative reviews about the multiplayer edition of the game, the producers would be praying for the added maps to spark some success. To create buzz among gamers, the official tomb raider blog has started map week, describing the features of each of the earlier maps in multiplayer mode till this Friday. So don’t forget to visit their blog.
The Xbox pack is set to release on March 19, 2013 for 400 Microsoft points and would be available for all four multiplayer game modes. Check it out to see if they got any better.
